Established in 1977 as Steve Gray (Motor Engineers) Ltd they built a strong reputation for commercial vehicle repairs in the Liverpool area, we expanding in to new premises on Brookfield Drive in the early 80's. In 1994 they become a Foden Service and Parts dealer and were soon aproached by Foden to procure Manchester Trucks Centre; in 1999 MTC Northwest was born with Foden Dealerships in both Liverpool and Manchester.
They built a purpose made workshop on a 4 acre site in Knowsley in 2001, this is a state of the art 7 bay drive though workshop, with Tacho Bay and AFT lane. Paccar, the owners of Foden, retired the brand in 2004 and they become a DAF Service & Parts Dealer, another Paccar company, they achieved M1 status and continue to grow their DAF business with a vairied customer base of large, meduim and smaller operators
In 2005 they were approached by Hino Motors, part of the Toyota group to become a Sales, Service and Parts Dealer, this complemented their business greatly and they went from strenght to strengh, building their DAF & Hino business up to an impressive level.
In 2014 they added MAN Truck & Bus to their already impressive portfolio and are relishing the challenge of being the first and only MAN dealer on Merseyside, and are in an excellent position of offering their customers a one stop shop for all their Commercial Vehicle requirements and will continue to offer the very highest levels of service to their loyal customers.
DAF Trucks NV is a Dutch truck manufacturing company and a division of Paccar. Its headquarters and mainplant are in Eindhoven. Cabs and axle assemblies are produced at its Westerlo plant in Belgium. Some of the truck models sold with the DAF brand are designed and built by Leyland Trucks at their Farington plant in Leyland near Preston, England.
